Team Liquigas-Cannondale with a Unique Ergo 3

In 2012 Sidi shoes will be worn by the champions from Team Liquigas-Cannondale. Ivan Basso, Vincenzo Nibali, along with all the other strong riders on the team will be confidently positioning wearing the new Ergo 3 Carbon Vernice.

Sidi wanted to give its champions a model of this extraordinary shoe with special graphics. Dino Signori personally delivered it to team manager for Liquigas-Cannondale Roberto Amadio. These special graphics were custom made for the team and unfortunately will not be available in stores.

The new Ergo 3 Carbon Vernice

For the champions from Team Liquigas Cannondale Sidi chose to produce this shoe in special colours and none other than Dino Signori himself presented the shoe to team manager Roberto Amadio. These special colours were realized exclusively for the team and are not available on the market.

This shoe has many features. Ergo 3 Carbon Vernice is lighter and more resistant than ever, made in Lorica® microfiber, patent leather and nylon mesh in a mix of technology and design. For the first time the shoe features graphics printed both on the external uppers as well as inside the shoe for an even more attractive look. The Vent sole in carbon features an air flow mechanism that guarantees major breathability for the foot of the athlete, providing the highest level of performance and comfort in any situation, from the major climbs of the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia to the gruelling cobbled walls of the northern classics.

The shoes were presented during the dinner organised by Sidi Sport to celebrate San Crispino, the “Protective Saint of shoemakers”, which was held in Castelfranco Veneto (TV) at the Egidio Fior Restaurant, where cycling is right at home. The Marca trevigiana region is a uniquely charming territory, a magic place where great cycling and the tradition of shoemaking intertwine to create unique stories. Stories just like the one featuring Dino Signori, a cyclist and businessman, founder of Sidi Sport and still at the helm, together with his daughter Rosella. For more than fifty years Sidi Sport has been a passionate and dedicated protagonist in the shoe making sector dedicated to two wheels, both in cycling and motor cycling.

Sidi Sport and Liquigas Sport have been collaborating for a long time and their relationship is destined to last, growing stronger victory after victory.
